Jim Zimmerman

Jim is a four-decade veteran of the advancement profession. Since joining Marts&Lundy in 2016, his work with dozens of independent schools and other organizations has included campaign planning studies, development program assessments, board training, and strategic counsel. 

Jim has led advancement teams at The Branson School (Chief Advancement Officer), Cate School (Director of Development), Francis Parker School (Assistant Head for Institutional Advancement), and The Lawrenceville School (Director of Capital Programs).  For 19 years, he served as Director of Development at Middlesex School, where he managed the then largest independent school campaign in history, which raised $127 million. Jim also served as Chief Evangelist at EverTrue, helping hundreds of organizations understand how technology and innovation can transform their fundraising programs. Jim began his development career at his alma mater, Bucknell University. He later served a four-year term as President of the Bucknell University Alumni Association and as a member of the Bucknell Board of Trustees.
