Kay began her career in development research in 1995 and has worked as an independent development research consultant and trainer since 2002. Recognized locally and nationally as a leader in the field, Kay provides a wide variety of nonprofit organizations with comprehensive prospect research profiles of corporations, foundations and individual major donors that include estimated net worth and gift capacity ratings.  Her excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills combined with her sensitivity and discretion in dealing with confidential donor information make her the ideal development partner for your organization’s fundraising success.

Kay has served in prospect research and frontline fundraising positions at Washington University in St. Louis, Central Institute for the Deaf and Kingdom House. She created and taught “Introduction to Prospect Research” in Washington University’s Master’s Program in Nonprofit Management.

Kay is a member of the boards of directors of APRA MO-KAN and the Grant Professionals Association (GPA).  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and is a Certified Paralegal.
