Julia Voorhies

Professional Experience

Julia Voorhies joins Marts & Lundy as an affiliate in the higher education practice group. She currently serves as a fundraising consultant to educational, cultural, social and environmental organizations. Julia helps these groups strategize and expand corporate and foundation fundraising programs.

Julie worked as director of corporate and foundation relations at the University of California San Francisco from 2001-2005. She managed a staff of five and led the corporate and foundation fundraising program with a $1.5 billion campaign.

Julia held a similar position at the University of California Berkeley from 1987-2001. During this time, she also held the position of acting director of major gifts (1996-98) and managed a major gifts team of 11 fundraisers. Julia solicited gifts between $50,000 and $3 million during Berkeley's Campaign for the New Century ($1.4 billion).
