Professional Experience

Tom brings to the firm and our clients over 25 consecutive years of fund development and planning. He has a proven track record of moving institutions forward through organization-wide strategic planning and resource development and he is driven by a desire to maximize every resource available to ensure that institutions move to a new level of achievement.

Before joining the firm in 2005, Tom held positions as: president of Concordia College in Minnesota; president of Grand View College in Iowa; and vice president for institutional advancement at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

Tom has special expertise in the areas of campaign preparation and implementation, major gifts strategy, evaluation of advancement office structure and programs, strategic planning, board development, and integrated marketing. He has been engaged in professional and civic organizations, including the Minnesota Private College Council, Iowa Public Television, the United Way and the executive committee for the Nobel Peace Prize Forum.
