John Lippincott, president emeritus of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), joined Marts & Lundy as an Of Counsel consultant in 2015. His experience with institutions and education professionals across the world offers our clients a distinct intercontinental perspective on opportunities for growth as institutions work to serve increasingly diverse needs.
In March 2015, John stepped down after 11 years as CASE president, the longest presidential tenure in the organization’s history. Under his leadership, CASE reached record levels of membership, revenues and reserves; established CASE Asia-Pacific and CASE America Latina; strengthened operations in Europe and North America and expanded services to members worldwide in areas such as research and advocacy.
John first joined CASE in 1999 as vice president for communications and marketing. Prior to that, he was associate vice chancellor for advancement at the University System of Maryland, director of college relations at Ithaca College and a public affairs officer at the National Endowment for the Humanities. He began his career on the humanities faculty at community colleges in New York and Oregon.
John received an honorary doctorate from Widener University in May 2015.
