John joined Marts & Lundy in 1991 after serving as director of planned giving at Brown University for 14 years. Prior to that, he served as director of deferred giving, alumni secretary and business manager at The Thacher School. John served two terms, totaling 20 years as a Thacher Trustee, during the period from 1983 to 2008, and in recognition of his long association with the School, he has recently been elected an Honorary Life Trustee.
John served on the Marts & Lundy Board of Directors from 1995 to 1999. He has a varied consulting practice with Marts & Lundy including a robust international client list.
John’s primary volunteer work over 50 years has been in various capacities with his boarding school, Thacher. He served for 17 years as a class agent; worked there for five years as a fundraiser and business manager, and was on its board for nearly 30 years. He is deeply involved in many facets of the school and hopes to be so for some time to come. Between his wife and John, they have 12 grandchildren ranging in age from 20 to 10 living from Scottsdale to New Hampshire, so they spend a lot time visiting them and enjoying their company. John and his wife are avid sports fans and root loudly for the Red Sox and the Patriots during their seasons.
