Michelle joined Marts & Lundy in 2018, bringing a range of professional experiences to support the Firm and its clients. As an associate consultant, she will work with senior leadership as a project manager and provide support on consulting projects. Michelle is a former attorney and has worked in higher education administration for more than 15 years. In her first nine years in Higher Ed, Michelle worked in student development at American University Washington College of Law and Washington & Lee University Law School, and most recently at Emory University School of Law as Senior Director of the Career and Professional Development Office. During her tenure in that office, she twice served as Interim Assistant Dean.
In 2011, Michelle transitioned to the business side of Higher Ed and accepted a position as Senior Director, Finance & Administration. In that role she was deputy to the Chief Business Officer and Vice Dean, managing a wide variety of projects including accreditation compliance reviews, budget development, accounts payable and receivable, staffing assessments, facilities and operations projects. While at Emory Law, she earned her Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Michelle left Emory Law in 2017 to start her own consulting business where her work involved a variety of projects at small liberal arts colleges and nonprofit organizations. She is excited to join a team of consultants and contribute to the great work of Marts & Lundy.
When not working, Michelle enjoys travel (especially to the beach), movies, walking, and spending quality time with her family and friends (especially her four-legged family members: Lucy, Trevor, Noah, and Jackpot).
