Michael F. Sinkus

Michael Sinkus came to the firm in 1978 and during his tenure has worked with a wide variety of nonprofits including educational institutions of all sizes, both public and private; arts and culture organizations; faith-based institutions and a myriad of others. A firm believer in the value of analytics in helping organizations understand and quantify their full potential, his liberal arts background gives him a deep appreciation of the blending of art & science in our work as consultants to the world of philanthropy. Michael also promotes the value of strategy and has provided strategic planning consulting for several clients.

He has served the firm in a number of administrative capacities: member of the Board of Directors, treasurer, secretary, president and as chair and CEO from 1999 to 2006.  In 2006 he turned his full attention to client work, determined to help institutions of all kinds achieve their full philanthropic potential. From 2012 to 2016, he led the firm’s higher education practice, cultivating thought leadership and innovative solutions for clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael held positions at Yale University and at his alma mater, Bucknell University.
