In January 2016, Martha moved to part-time consulting and assumed responsibility as Director of Client Relations and Business Development. She joined Marts & Lundy as a senior consultant in 2007 and has served a wide variety of clients, with particular focus on independent schools and higher education.
Martha came to Marts & Lundy from Scripps College in Claremont, California. At Scripps, Martha served as Vice President for College Advancement from 2001-2007 and oversaw all aspects of fundraising, alumnae relations and public relations activities for the college. During her tenure as vice president the college’s most successful campaign was completed a year ahead of schedule and 19 percent over goal. Martha was Assistant Vice President for Development from 1999-2001 while also serving as Director of Planned Giving. Her work at Scripps College helped the school earn numerous awards, including the Circle of Excellence and Overall Improvement awards presented by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
Prior to her years at Scripps, Martha was a senior consultant for Donald A. Campbell and Company, Inc., from 1989-1994. In that role, she provided fundraising and marketing consulting services to a wide range of nonprofit clients. Martha was with The Claremont Graduate School from 1984-1989 and began her development career in 1983 at the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
Martha served on the Firm’s Board of Directors from 2011 to 2014. She is a member of several professional associations and has served on several boards.
Martha serves on the Madeleva Society Steering Committee at her alma mater, Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame). She is a Certified Zumba fitness instructor and teaches as often as her schedule permits. Her clients note that she will “bust a move” with little to no provocation.
