Marts & Lundy is pleased to announce that it has added three new members to its Of Counsel team. Of Counsel, a position created in 2007, is designed to augment Marts & Lundy's already impressive roster of full-time consultants with working professionals and industry experts. By tapping into the the knowledge of front-line advancement professionals, Marts & Lundy's Of Counsel team helps our consultants and clients stay in tune with the most current advances in philanthropy.

Our new Of Counsel members are no different, and bring a diverse wealth of knowledge to Marts & Lundy as a whole.

John Ford brings an impressive background in both education and environmentally focused philanthropy. Adding to his impressive track record in development at Stanford University, John's current affiliation with Climate—Works Foundation has put him in a position to generate the funds and support necessary to enact legislation and policy changes to lower greenhouse gas emissions.

The Of Counsel team is also pleased to add Steve Birrell's unparalleled experience in higher education philanthropy. Before recently retiring from his post as vice president for alumni relations and development at Williams College, Steve led the college's efforts to meet and surpass an ambitious goal of $400 million in donations by an impressive 25 percent.

Rounding out these additions to the Of Counsel team is Jim Langley, who has spent a career not only increasing donations to educational institutions such as Georgia Tech, Georgetown and the University of California, San Diego, but enhancing alumni connections and relationships as well. Jim recently founded Langley Innovations, a consulting and training organization designed to help institutions and organizations dedicated to improving the human condition get in touch with like-minded philanthropists.
