Professional Experience
Kathleen Hanson joined Marts & Lundy as Of Counsel in the Schools Practice Group bringing nearly 20 year's experience at independent schools.
Kathleen has worked at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, since 1999 as assistant head/vice president for advancement & external affairs. In this capacity, she directs development, admissions and financial aid, alumni relations, parent relations, communications, marketing and summer programs at the 1,068-student day/boarding school.
Prior to Baylor School, Kathleen served as director of institutional advancement at The Fessenden School in West Newton, MA, from 1994 - 1999. She was responsible for all development functions for the 550 boys' day/boarding school, including a two-year, $8 million building fund. Kathleen earned her bachelor's degree at the University of New Hampshire. She is an active consultant, volunteer and presenter at workshops and seminars.
