Professional Experience
Betsy Cotton possesses a wealth of experience as a member of the Marts & Lundy board of directors. Betsy serves as CFO for TerraCycle, a manufacturer of all-natural, eco-friendly plant food.
Prior to joining TerraCycle, Betsy was CFO and founding partner of Stratum Group, a privately capitalized partnership focused on financing small to mid-sized North American oil and gas companies. For a decade, Betsy participated in all facets of building the partnership as well as in its investment process—from identifying, evaluating and structuring transactions to exiting them at maturity. Betsy trained and supervised a staff of analysts that evaluated more than 200 potential transactions annually.
Prior to Stratum, Betsy was vice president of MG Trade Finance where she worked on numerous financings secured by everything from interests in venture capital funds to natural gas contracts.
Betsy received her bachelor's from Tufts University and MBA from Stanford University. She lives in New Jersey on a small farm with her husband and son and is an active volunteer in the rural community.
