Joan G. Callahan, Affiliated Consultant, Annual Giving and Alumni Program Development: Marts & Lundy

Professional Experience

Joan Gregg Callahan joined Marts & Lundy with more than 20 years of development, marketing, public relations and leadership experience. Joan will serve as an affiliate in the higher education practice group.

Joan graduated from Williams College in 1989 with a degree in political science and worked at the school from 1992-2006. She was the director of annual giving (1995-2006) and director of 25th reunion program (2001-2006). Joan managed a staff of 11 and oversaw annual budgets of more than $500,000.

During her tenure at Williams College, Joan helped raise more than $74 million in alumni fund gifts over the past 10 years. Participation grew from 56 percent to a high of 62.5 percent. Also the alumni fund class agent team grew from 250 to more than 1,500 volunteers.
